- You don't have to be an Amiga-hater to agree that the current Amiga line
- is woefully underpowered by modern standards, and that the enhanced new
- machine is not much better. Sure, I agree with all the commercial
- judgements about why they had to do this, but the primary commercial
- judgement for any product is "will people want to buy it?".
-
- Apart from existing Amiga owners wanting to upgrade, I can think of few
- people who'd want to buy an Amiga nowdays. That depresses me, because I
- really like the Amiga, and the last thing I want to do is completely
- abandon it. As it is, I'm typing this message on a PC, I do all my word
- processing and day to day work on the PC. I even like the programming
- environments (Visual C++) on the PC. But it's still a PC, the Amiga is
- still the Amiga, and the Amiga is still much more fun to use (it's just
- that fun isn't my prime consideration when I have work to do...)
